1st time out on the water for over 1 month, & 1st ever visit to Borth. Actually, a group of us (Bristol Nomads) were up for a week of windsurfing, MTBing & general misbehaviour. Unfortunately, Al had told the wind gods to play silly buggers in order to ensure no repeat visits ;-) , so this was our only windsurfing sortie of the week.

Despite the earlier forecast for gale force winds, I struggled to get out with 6.2m on 110l board.

After a break, the wind filled-in well enough to provide some good lip-slapping conditions, though there's no way on the kit I was using that I was going to attempt to get past the final few rows of big waves to get outside.

Eventually, a pulled-muscle down the side of my ribs (done at work the previous week) made it's unpleasant presence felt once again, forcing an early retirement for me.

Adrian carried on blasting in & out until he popped a panel on his sail, so he changed down to 5.5 & sailed some more!

Al (Donald) & Nigel retired tired fairly early on, and I watched Andy dragging his new 3-piece mast back up the beach. Al (Cole) was having a great time until dental reasons caused an untimely departure.

Will try to get back up to Borth again, but only if Al promises better conditions :)
